Guitar for Beginners ~ Worksheet 1 ~ Guitar Anatomy

by | December 23, 2011 | 2 comments

If you have just got a new guitar and you want to learn how to play it then it would be a good idea to start to learn about how it all works. This involves learning the names of the various parts of the guitar then understanding their function.

Click on the illustration above for a larger view. This shows an electric guitar based around the Fender Stratocaster model, but the names are common to all guitars including acoustic (minus the electric components!).

If you decide to enter for formal exams you will tested on your knowledge of the name and function of the components of your instrument.
